Watching, Waiting and Worrying

Paula was taken to St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields today (Sunday) suffering from intense nausea, vomiting, and extremely low blood sugar. She has been back at Crestwood Care for the past week, and things weren't going too bad other than for the past few weeks she hasn't been eating or drinking enough to sustain herself. We decided on St. James because it is where she was going to be going soon for her next skin graft surgery anyway, and we hoped she could get stablized there and maybe they would proceed with the surgery and avoid another transfer back and forth between venues. Oddly enough, as of now the leg still continues to improve. It is other problems caused by months of hospitalization, pain and harsh medications that seem to be getting her down lately. I honestly don't know much more than I've said here right now. She has been admitted to the hospital and we hope to know more by the end of the day Monday. I will try to update as soon as I know more.
